'Sourav thinks a lot about his cricket'

Source: Times of India

Excerpts from a live chat with Dona Ganguly, wife of Saurav Ganguly:

Shil: How do you feel to be a wife of a famous cricketer?

Dona: I feel good, great in fact.

Shidji: What do you like most in Saurav?

Dona: He's quite caring, possessive, quiet, thinks a lot about his cricket and tries to improve.

Lolo: Did you and Saurav elope, or did the elders agree for the marriage?

Dona: Initially we eloped and then the elders agreed. So we ended up having two marriage dates.

Mansi: How upset were you after the scandal of Saurav and Nagma erupted?

Dona: I am not bothered, at least till now.

Delhiguy: Does Saurav love your dance or remains busy in cricket?

Dona: He is not too involved, not too bothered I guess. But he is moderately involved, I would say.

Misty: How much of cricket do you understand?

Dona: I was always interested in cricket but I began to understand the game only after my marriage.

Imhere: I heard you chatted with Hrithik recently. What was it about?

Dona: I told him I was a fan of his and that he was a great dancer. It is great to have a handsome man on the screen for a change.

Rups: When is your marriage anniversary?

Dona Ganguly: 21st of February.

Mickey: Was Saurav a brilliant student?

Dona: Yes, during his schooldays he was. But never did his lessons before hand. Right at the end of the term he would start studying. But he passed all his exams.

Pari: You are a Bengali, how does it feel to have a Bengali doing so well?

Dona: Of course it feels very good.

Rups: When did you realise that you were in love with Saurav?

Dona: Maybe when I was in the 12th standard.

Priya: Why don't you advise your husband to stop acting in TV advertisements?

Dona: I can't because that's his earning. And you can say that's part of his profession.

Imhere: How's Saurav as a person?

Dona: He is a nice person, a bit quiet though.

Browny: Do you think the talent you have is god gifted or have you acquired it to a great extent?

Dona: It is a little bit of gift with a lot of practice.

Talkcity: If Saurav were also among those guilty of match-fixing, what would have been your reaction?

Dona: He is not. So I've not thought about it.

Jimmy: Don't you feel upset because of so much of involvement of Saurav in cricket?

Dona: No, not really. I know he is playing for the country, and hence serving the country.

Shelly: How does dance mould a person?

Dona: I don't know how it moulds a person. But it definitely helps a person in various fields of life like increasing your concentration and physical fitness.
